Tuner has no account. You can remove tunings saved on your device yourself and ask Nicky Studios to delete diagnostic data we can identify.
Request deletion
- Email contact@bandcompanion.app with the subject Tuner data deletion. Say whether you use iOS or Android. You do not need to send a recording or the names of your tunings.
- We will reply with the next steps. Tuner has no account or name attached to diagnostic records, so we may need additional information from your device to locate an installation. We will tell you what can be identified and deleted, or explain if we cannot match a record to your request.
- To remove saved tunings and preferences on your device, delete custom tunings in Tuner, clear Tuner's app data, or uninstall it. Nicky Studios cannot remotely erase data stored only on your device.
What is deleted or kept
On your device: Custom tunings, preset order, selected preset and calibration stay there until you remove them or the app. Your device's own backups may keep a copy according to its settings. Microphone audio is processed in memory and is not saved or uploaded.
Analytics: Firebase Analytics receives app usage events, app and device details, and a pseudonymous app-instance identifier. If we can identify data for your installation, we will request its deletion. Our Google Analytics property is configured to retain event data for 2 months and user data for 14 months. The user-data period resets when that installation has new activity. Aggregate reports without an installation identifier may remain.
Crash reports: Firebase Crashlytics receives crash diagnostics and installation identifiers. Google says it retains crash traces and associated identifiers for 90 days before removal from its live and backup systems begins. We cannot promise immediate deletion of an individual Crashlytics report.
Store and other app data: Apple and Google handle their own download records. A Tuner data request does not delete records held by the app store or data belonging to the separate Band Companion app.
